HOWICK ART GROUP ART FESTIVAL
Sat 19 & Sun 20 November 10am-3pm and Sat 26 & Sun 27 November 10am-3pm
Hawthornden Reserve, 66 Cook Street, Howick
Our last year’s Art Festival was such a success that we decided to make this an annual event. This year’s Art Festival will be held on the weekends of 19 & 20 November and 26 & 27 November, 10am-3pm.
A tent will be erected on the lawn of Hawthornden Reserve close to the street and one outside the Green Gables Cottage Gallery regardless of the weather.
Be there for a 9.30am set up, bring your own easels and a heavy rice or sand bag to secure them to the ground. You need your own labels, include 20% commission and all artwork must be original. No prints and no copies. It would be great if you can do a duty.
Bruce McLaren Retirement Village Art Showcase
Sat 12 & Sun 13 March 2016 10am-4pm
The Art Showcase at Bruce McLaren as stated below was a great show and thoroughly enjoyed by all who came. It is hopefully the first of many to be held there. In fine surroundings, and with a relaxed atmosphere, both public and residents wandered through the exhibition taking in the many different and varied styles, mediums and subjects of painted works. With a very comfortable nearby lounge available for a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake, many came back again for a second look and finally went home with a treasured work of art.
A fabulous exhibition of fine art paintings will be presented for sale at the Bruce McLaren Retirement Village in Chapel Road, East Auckland by the Howick Art Group.
Art representing many well known and up and coming artists from the Howick Art Group will be shown. Many of our artists have won places and merits at various exhibitions throughout the Auckland area, in NZ and overseas. Mediums include: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour, Dry Art (Pastels, Pen & Ink, Charcoal, Pencil), & Mixed Media in many different styles.
Framed and ready to hang. All are for purchase with eftpos available.
Due to the Bruce McLaren Village parking being limited to residents and visitors please park on Chapel Road.
