BRUCE MCLAREN ART SHOW

We are again holding an exhibition at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village starting Friday 10th March with a Cocktail Evening at 6 p.m. Open to the public Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th March from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Encouraged by the success of this event last year we are happy that together with Bruce McLaren’s management, we are able to bring this event to fruition again.

This event will be advertised in the Howick & Pakuranga Times together with a billboard on Chapel Road, outside Bruce McLaren Retirement Village. Fliers will be provided to be distributed by village residents and Howick Art Group members.

There will be a “Peoples’ Choice Award” again this year, with prizes given to the top three favourite paintings. Vouchers to be spent at Howick Art Supplies will be awarded. First Prize $300 – Second Prize $150 – Third Prize $50.

A $200 Gift Basket will be provided by Bruce McLaren for a lucky draw with each entry voting for their favourite painting.
Entries $5 per painting.  Entries must be in by Friday 3rd March together with payment of $5 per painting limited to four. Payment must be made with entries.  Please note you must be a financial member to take place in this exhibition.

ART FESTIVAL

Our  Art Festival was such a success that we decided to make this an annual event in November.
A tent will be erected on the lawn of Hawthornden Reserve close to the street and one outside the cottage regardless of the weather.
Be there for a 9.30am set up, bring your own easels and a heavy rice or sand bag to secure them to the ground.  You need your own labels, include 20% commission and all artwork must be original.  No prints and no copies.  It would be great if you can do a duty.
