Information for New Members
A warm welcome to potential and casual visitors and to new members. We hope this information will assist you and we look forward to meeting you at our Howick Art Group club nights.
Membership
You may obtain an ‘Application for Membership’ form at one of our monthly meetings.
After your application for either Associate Membership (non-exhibiting) or Working Membership (exhibiting work) has been approved at the next Committee Meeting a membership fee of either $35 or $40 respectively is paid. A spouse can join for $15.
A discount card is available for all paid members, for art supplies and framing, at various locations around East Auckland.
All members are required to attend at least four of our monthly meetings per year as per the constitution, to assist with various duties on Club Nights, and to help with duties at the Cottage or at our yearly exhibition in July.
Membership also entitles you to borrow at a small cost from our group library consisting of books, magazines, videos and DVDs covering a wide range of mediums, topics and art lessons.
Weekend and weekday workshops are arranged for members throughout the year and these operate on a first paid quota. Guest artists and workshop programmes are advertised in our newsletter and can be paid for on Club Nights.
